The entire summer I’ve basically been living in cut-out baggy jeans and plaid shirts. To me, summer is all about relaxing and taking it easy. Although my summer schedule doesn’t really allow me to take it easy, I have to find activities that will make me feel relax (hello yoga & flywheel). Especially what happened during the last week.
I had a major breakdown last week due to everything just building up in my life. While everyone was enjoying their 4th of July, I was at home just thinking about my great grandfather and family. Unfortunately my great grandfather passed away on July 2nd due to having Alzheimer. The condition that he was in wasn’t the best. He barely remembered my name, could barely walk, and was just barely getting through his days. It’s sad to see someone fade away like that, especially when its family. Thankfully my family held together strong. I was there for them and it was a nice time to get closer to everyone.
I think about how blessed I am to have the family I have. If you need something, whether its assistance with school or just moral suppose, their there. Isn’t that what family is for?
As I lay here in bed writing this bed, I look back to all of the incredible times I had with my great grandpa. When we went to Wisconsin every year or the multiple times I would see him during the holiday. I miss you so much, but I know you are in a better place right now. A much better place.
Sorry for making this post a little depressing. I feel like I had to just get this off my chest, as that is why I created this blog. Not everything is perfect, rainbows, and happiness. Sometimes you have to be real and this is the time for it.
