First Day of School Outfit #Selfie
I had my first day of my junior year of college on Monday and boy was it interesting. If you follow me on twitter you probably saw my tweet that said, "I've never been so inspired by a professor in my life until today." Now you're probably thinking what the heck does that mean and what happened? Well, here is how my first day turned out.
I ended up deciding to take a total of 5 classes (which results into 15 credit hours) that includes a microeconomics, accounting, business administration (online), and two marketing classes.
Going into my first day was pretty much hell, because I had to drop a friend off at the airport and was stuck in traffic. So I decided what the heck and head to school in gym shorts, a high school t-shirt, and Birkenstocks.
My microeconomics class seemed that it would be an okay class. I mean the professor is British (which I love). Now my accounting class was an entire different story. The professor is noted to be insanely strict (which could be a bad/good thing). He has a no tolerance cellphone policy and he catches you texting or your phone goes off you automatically lose 20 points. Can anyone say intimating?
After my first two classes were done, I decided to head home and change into something more well, me. I changed into some Naked & Famous raw denim, Nike Roshe sneakers, baggy tee, and my favorite Supreme camp hat. Thankfully I only had two classes left and I was done for the day (well kind of).
As I entered into my third class, Business to Business Marketing, I pondered about what the professor would be like. My counselor recommended me taking this class, because she mentioned the professor was phenomenal. She was definitely right. Professor Moon completely took the class away by introducing herself and talking about how the class would be ran. She talked about her experience in the marketing world and what she expects of her students. I was instantly inspired by her story of not only being a track star in college, but also ending up working for Fortune 500 companies that I can only dream of.
After her introduction we all had to introduce ourselves in front the entire class. Of course I was a bit nervous but I knew everything would be alright. I decided to talk about my internship experience and what I did over the summer. People were in awe and started saying they couldn't match up to that. Professor Moon laughed and the other students continued introducing themselves. Towards the middle of the introductions, Professor Moon said to me in between the presentations that I started something. She said if it wasn't for me a lot of the students would've said the interesting things they said. I couldn't be any happier hearing that from a professor I was so inspired by.
Thankfully my next class was the same professor, Consumer Behavior Marketing, so the structure of the class went the same. Man did I have a pretty decent first day of school. I'm so pumped to finally be taking classes that are required and have to do with my major.
