Where the Snow is Black

The things I love about Chicago's winter are the layers and layers of clothing that is necessary in order to survive at least 5 minutes outside & the snow (well looking at it, of course). Any Chicagoan can agree with me that these past couple of weeks have been gorgeous or "visually pleasing" torture.
These photos were taken on Saturday right before my grandmother's birthday dinner. It's weird how time flies. I remember last year when my grandfather & I decided to get her a Louis Vuitton 40 speedy bag for her birthday. She literally fainted when she saw the huge LV brown box (PS: they do amazing gift wrapping).

This year we ended up going to Barney's a couple of weeks before her birthday and saw her drooling over some gorgeous Christian Louboutin boots. Let's just say that they are at the cobbler right now.
Not only did she get herself a pair of Loubs, but I ended up splurging a pair myself. They're still at the cobbler getting a rubber sole attached, but right when I get them I'll make sure to show you. I was having a hard time deciding between the Harvanana or the classic Rollerboys. You'll just have to wait to see which ones I picked. Happy Monday peeps.
