My Lover, My Friend, Denise.

A co-worker who I seriously couldn't stand being by when working at Akira is now one of my best friends.
She's dark, loves Gothic boys, and gorgeous. What more can I guy ask for?
So minimal and dark, just how she likes it.
Total opposites, yet amazing friends.
Watch out Mary Kate & Ashley.
So chic.

Dark Furry Monster

(hm vneck, american apparel harem pants, dr. marten cutout boots, topshop jacket, karen walker sunglasses, lots of bracelets)
The past week has been insane, whether it was running from job to job or staying up all night to complete homework; I'm exhausted.

Pretty much that means that school is finally back in action, sadly.

I question myself everyday while I sit in class why I am taking 18 credit hours. Some people would say I'm bizarre, but I just call myself an overachiever.
The outfit above represents the negativity that I've been experiencing throughout the week. It seems like I've either been spending too much money or people are constantly sick getting sick in my family. All I can say is I have a shopping problem.
With New York slowly approaching in February.. oh wait I haven't told you guys yet. Well let's just say that I will be heading to New York from February 9th through the 12th for internship meetings, friends, shopping, and my future. This trip will determine whether I will be moving to New York in May and transferring schools. One thing I can say is that I'm extremely nervous.
Although I love Chicago, I think I'm ready for a change. A big change.

Who Likes Glitter? Alexander Wang Sparkles.

For this blog post I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.
I'm obsessed with my friend Nicole's Alexander Wang glitter pants and that is all.
We know were pretty.
I want this brooch now.

Topman x Urban Daddy Event

(topman sweater, thrifted denim shirt, hm pants, forever 21 boots, hm jacket)

Last month UrbanDaddy.com and Topman threw a small grooming event at Topman on Michigan Avenue. Pretty much anytime Topman throws an event, I'm there.
This event was to help young men around the Chicagoland area get a makeover with Topman's personal shoppers at hand. I mean free personal shopping assistance from some of Chicago's stylish guys? Score.
Ever since Topman & Topshop has opened, I've noticed that they have some of the most stylish sales associates in Chicago. They are seriously always dress to impress and I'm obsessed.
Of course I had an amazing time, I mean shopping & makeovers? I'm all for it.
His socks add the perfect touch.
My gorgeous friends rockin' their furs.

Reality Check

(hm tshirt, akira blazer, volcom chinos, versace for hm necklace, hm boots, a. wang rocco bag, lanvin for hm sunglasses)

Tonight I received an unexpected call from my wonderful friend, Amy Creyer *(Crey-ar).* She told me that it's time for me to settle down and enjoy life.

It was my reality check.

Having a friend take the time to tell me that I must enjoy my college years and tell me not to make the same mistakes as her made me feel like someone cared about me. It gave me the sense of warmth that I've been needing for a while.
College hasn't been the best experience that I've had. UIC isn't for me. The people, the vibe, the cliches, the academics, the environment, everything isn't me. Maybe that's why I've been working my butt off?

Although I'm not a super religious person, when you get super sick.. someone or something trying to tell you something.

It was my reality check.

There are times where I'm constantly stress out about what will happen in the future. Sometimes I question myself.. "Why worry about the future? I'm only 18." Then I think about how fast time flys.

What I want to do isn't an easy job. PR is all about networking, knowing the right people, establishing a name/image, and working your butt off to the top. Some people are able to born into riches, but most have to struggle their way up to the top... especially fashion PR.
I want to be successful in life.
I want to be that kid that came from a middle class family to possibly the next VP of a major PR firm.
But most importantly, I want to make my parents proud.
Do I really want to die at the age of 30? I surely don't, but if I keep up the insane habits that I currently do then maybe I will. Such a dark thing to say, but it's true.
This year is all about taking care of myself. It's all about focusing on relaxing and enjoying my youth as it passes by.

It's crazy to think that I'm already on my 2nd semester of college. Boy does college fly by.

It was my reality check.

The Girl with a Hidden Agenda

As I lay in my bed with some sort of flu/cold/disease, I think about how I have not updated my blog for a little bit.

With how fast the holidays flew by and now we're finally in the month of January.. I think its time to post this picture.

I took this picture when I went to the Dani L. Designs event that one of my friends hosted (pictures will be posted promptly), but it was this single attendee that caught my eye. Once I approached her we talked about what she does/has done/looking for/ect ect ect.

1. She's a model. (No wonder why she's so gorgeous.)
2. She's a writer.
3. She's interned for Marc Jacobs. (JEALOUS)
4. She's perfection.. (okay maybe not perfect, but close to it.)

Anyways, here she is..

I'll leave it to your imagination to guess where she'll be in the future ~~
