NYFW Street Style Inspiration - Cop That Look

Photo Courtesy of Chicago Street Style
The weeks after New York Fashion Week is my favorite time to look at street style blogs. You may ask why is it better than any other time? It's because all of the pictures from New York Fashion Week are published. One of my biggest pet peeves about fashion week is seeing the same photo on 20 different blogs. Although they might be of different angles, it is still the same attendee. Maybe that is why I'm a huge fan of Scott from The Sartorialist work. He is able to take people who are dressed effortlessly and portray them in a different light.
This year attendees of Fashion Week were decked out in tons of neon (of course), peplum clothing (skirts, shirts, dresses), head-to-toe leather looks, and statement bags. One of my favorite pictures was taken by Amy from Chicago Street Style of a attendee in a lovely black ensemble with a kimono. I'm a huge fan of statement pieces and her kimono does not seize to fail.

One the things I love to do is to recreate someone's outfit in "less expensive" clothing. While tons of fashion editors are able to afford to spend $800 on a pair of heels, your everyday person can only spend $100. Here's similar items from the picture above that don't cost you a fortune:
Many of my friends and readers always ask me how to recreate a look from these high profile bloggers, celebrities, and editors. From now on I will be doing at a weekly Cop That Look post to give inspiration and options for the everyday person who isn't able to afford those $800 Alexander Wang leather pants.
