Living the Life of a College Student

I'm officially entering my 6th week of college and I'm still keeping my head up. College is definitely not what I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be all about socializing with an array of students, but I was totally wrong. Its more about staying up all night because you forgot to study for that Chemistry exam that counts for 20% of your grade. As the weeks keep passing by I have finally figured out that UIC is not for me.

Yes, it's one of the best medical schools in the nation.
Yes, it's one of the best schools to receive a science major.

But is it for me? Nope.
I decided that somewhere like NYU or FIT might fit my needs more. I love Chicago, but will it help me out in the future? I'm not sure.
(urban outfitters shirt, gap cardigan, marc by marc jacobs pants, rebecca minkoff m.a.c. bag c/o wrigley, aldo engineer boots.)

One thing that I found out about UIC is that not many people care about how they look. I'm totally against that, because I believe that fashion is one of the strongest tools of communication. Literally a person can get a feel of who you are by just looking at what you're wearing. It might not be true for everyone, but that's just my theory.

Don't get my wrong, there are still days where I just roll out of bed but that's not everyday.
Here's a bag that Wrigley sent me for participating in their blogger's competition. I'm totally obsessed with Rebecca Minkoff. This bag is so plain & chic that it could be worn with pretty much majority of my wardrobe. I love it.
As I come closer to finishing my first semester, I think its time to say that college is not easy.

Yes, you receive a bunch of responsibility.
Yes, you don't have to go to all of your lectures & classes.
Yes, you can sleep in till 12 AM.
Yes, you don't have to study.

BUT if you want to receive that A, then you will work your ass off and do whats right. So as I finish typing this (when I'm suppose be doing my english paper), I will leave you with a picture that screams, I OWN UIC.

TASTE the Rainbow

I was recently asked to become a part of the Wrigley blogger's challenge, where everyone who participates in the challenge must answer one question..

How do Wrigley products inspire your look for fall?
Instantly I thought to myself, COLOR because of variety of colors that Wrigley products come in. I grabbed the pack of the Skittles, Orbit Wildberry Remix Gum (SO AMAZING), and Life Savers Gummies & was off to find an outfit.

After searching up and down through my closet like you were trying to snatch all of the Missoni for Target items on Tuesday, I finally completed my outfit.
(thrifted blazer, h&m pants & vneck, vintage oxford shirt, thrifted belt, and hudson oxfords)
Pretty colored bikes.
Eating a small part of the rainbow.
Starbursts or Skittles? uhm.
Right when I was going to open the bag of Skittles, they fell out
I I have no clue why I started dancing but I did.
HIGH FASHION MODEL ALERT. I know Elite Models will be contacting soon. xox
Every Wrigley product has a different color to it, or possibly even multiple colors aka the Starburst Collisions, which I don't think their on the market yet. (love them!) The point is that every candy has their own personality, just like you & I.. even though I'm people think I'm insane majority of the time. I decided to leave you with a little dancing action
Wrigley products did not influence any opinions expressed in my post. Products were given courtesy of Wrigley.

Street Style Watch OUT

I hope you guys don't feel like I'm neglecting you. Its crazy how your life can change an instant, aka when school starts. I feel like I'm Andy from Devil Wears Prada. Running from event to event, managing school, and two jobs. Don't worry because I'm STILL HERE!

I've decided to do a weekly or bi-weekly post that includes some of my favorite street style pictures from across the nation. I know how much everyone loves street style, so why not make a post solely on it? Here's some of my favorites this week:

Robert Verdi, Special K, and STUDS

I was lucky enough to attend the Special K Runway event that was hosted Tuesday, August 30th. I had a blast watching Chicagoans strut their stuff down Kellog's runway with style expert, Robert Verdi.
I decided to wear my vintage studded blazer, Forever 21 Shirt, Marc Jacobs Jeans, and a pair of Forever 21 boots.
As I walked up to the Jason Thompson Center I could hear music blasting and I thought to myself, That has to be it
I was then handed some Special K fruit crisps, which were delicious. There's just something about Special K that is amazing.
Pretty much dying..
STUDS everywhere. Who doesn't love some Christian Louboutin?
My pretty new boots, only $34.95 aka college student's dream.
Just waiting for the bus like every poor college student.
CUTE and ugly..

Overall the event was definitely success on Kellog's part and I had tons of fun! I'm sensing a possible giveaway. I mean, who doesn't like free stuff?.
