Do you remember the post I did about the Prada craze that has been going on with their Spring/Summer 2011 collection? Remember the Prada Creepers? The crazy flatform brogues with the espadrille & styrofoam bottoms.
Prada Crazy
If you have been dying for a pair or looking for a pair that a very similar, then look no further than Akira or Lori's Shoes. Jeffrey Campbell recently released their "AD Long" shoes that are pretty much exactly the same as the sold-out Prada Creepers. Don't believe? Check it out right here

The Jeffrey Campell AD Long flatforms are priced at $164.90 at AKIRA compared to the $795 from Prada. Now if only they carried these in an 11 1/2 for men and didn't have such a huge platform. What do you guys think of Jeffrey Campells attempt at the Prada Creepers?

One Stop Beauty

(patterened dress by h&m, shoes by h&m, bag by h&m)

I SPOT DUNKIN DONUTS.

Shopping with my sister is priceless because she always wants everything, she cries if she doesn't get it, and she usually gets what she wants.

I bought this yellow "market" bag, which was part of the Fashion Against Aids Collection from H&M for $9.95. I love this bag because it's a beautiful yellow, lightweight, and see through. The bag reminded me of the Jil Sander market bag that is retailed at $500+.
Flowers are gorgeous.

Bad Teacher - Stylish & Hilarious

Bad Teacher - Sony Pictures

Last night I had the chance to attend the Bad Teacher midnight premiere at Marcus Theaters. What caught my eye about actually wanting to watch this movie was the Christian Louboutins that Cameron Diaz was wearing in the movie poster. Not only does this movie incorporate hilarious moments & great looks (the stylist for this movie was AMAZING) but it was adorable & had a little romance in it.

Here's a short summary of Bad Teacher, courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes..

"Some teachers just don't give an F. For example, there's Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz). She's foul-mouthed, ruthless, and inappropriate. She drinks, she gets high, and she can't wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of her bogus day job. When she's dumped by her fiancĂ©, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake) - competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch). When Elizabeth also finds herself fighting off the advances of a sarcastic, irreverent gym teacher (Jason Segel), the consequences of her wild and outrageous schemes give her students, her coworkers, and even herself an education like no other."

I would definitely recommend this movie for people who have sort of a "dry" sense of humor and who are between 17-40. Make sure to leave a comment of what you think about the movie!

Versace for H&M Collaboration Release

Donatella Versace in Versace for H&M
Photos Courtesy: H&M
As I was looking through my twitter feeds I noticed that @HMUSA announced..

H&M will team up with Versace for a celebratory collaboration
full of signature styles from a fashion legend. #versaceforhm

Versace x HM

Instantly my heart dropped and I started to dance. I remember just last year when H&M announced that they were doing a collaboration with Lanvin, now Versace? oh my god. I thought it was shocking that Versace decided to do a collaboration with H&M, because a few years ago she stated that she will never do a collaboration.
In the first picture, Donatella Versace is wearing a piece from the Versace for H&M Collection. She mentions that the collection consists of "bold, iconic pieces" that made Versace what it is today. I'm totally dying over her leather dress with embellished jewels.
Versace x H&M
Literally to die for.

The collection consist of 40 women's pieces, accessories, and 20 men's pieces. The collection is set to release in the US on November 19th in select stores. I'm guessing that the H&M on Michigan will definitely have the collection, as they had the Lanvin for H&M release there.

I better start setting up my camping tent, because this is going to be one collaboration that you don't want to miss.

Hot Summer Trend: Crochet

Today I was looking through the June issues of Vogue & Elle and noticed that crochet was a major trend in the S/S 2011 Collection shows. When I think of crochet, I think of my grandmother knitting long scarves - wrong. To me, Crochet is very similar to lace. Why you ask? Well, lace & crochet usually have intricate patterns that usually reveal some parts of the body (see through). Here's my outfit based on crotchet without making you age 30 years.

2. TopShop Knitted White Crochet Shell Dress (TopShop)

SPOTTED: Spiked Christian Louboutin Pumps

As Andrea (BlondeBedHead) & I were headed to Sprinkles Bakery, I almost died when I saw this gorgeous girl wearing the Very Prive Spike - Christian Louboutin. They were gorgeous and I HAD to get a picture.
SPOTTED: Christian Louboutin

The picture of the actual shoes came out blurry because I was shaking with excitement. I can be so weird when it comes to spotting designer brands that I am obsessed with. Here's a clearer picture from the Christian Louboutin website, but the spikes that she had were black instead of the silver from the picture.

I believe that every girl should own at least one pair of Louboutins in their lifetime. Simple enough.

Can anyone say MOD?

Yesterday I decided to head downtown for the Topman Pop-up shop that was being hosted at Space 519. I asked my friend Lindsay, who is the blogger of Minerva Materia, to come along for a little shopping trip downtown and she said yes. Then again who doesn't want to shop on a gorgeous day on Michigan Avenue. When I met Lindsay at the train station, I almost died when I saw her sunglasses.
Lindsay - Mod sunglasses
Can anyone say MOD?

Lindsay said that she bought her sunglasses from a small vintage store in Grand Rapids, Michigan for $6. What I love most about these sunglasses is the frame structure & the handles. The handles are made out of some sort of metal chains that have circles at the end of them which are suppose to even out the sunglasses. To me the circles almost looks like she's wearing earrings - which is awesome! Now I am thinking of purchasing the Prada Baroque Minimal sunglasses, uhm.

Blogger Meetup x Randolph Street Market

As I walking to the Randolph Street Market I heard a voice screaming my name. I glanced to the left and I noticed that it was Isa from Chicago Looks. THANK GOD Isa was kind enough to drive me to the market because my poor body legs were killing.

Rule #1 Don't wear super tight oxfords when you have to walk more than 2 miles.

Entering the Randolph Street Market I was prompted with 4 stunning ladies all wearing wedges drinking mimosas, classy much? As soon as I saw them, I told myself.. those girls have to be bloggers.
Leilani (Thriftaholic), Andrea (BlondeBedHead), Veronika (TickTock Vintage), Tieka (Selective Potential)

I happen to be right, thankfully.
Andrea & I

As we were looking around, I noticed that my friend Lesely was setting up her adorable booth for Squasht. If you haven't checked out her amazing hats & ready to wear pieces, you need to!
Lesley - Squasht

We were off on a vintage adventure..

Obsessed with Leilani's vintage earrings. Reminds me of the Prada S/S 2011 banana earrings.
Vintage
The Red Chandelier reminded me of the Lanvin for H&M's Chandelier necklace, amazing.

Carrie
Bumped into my fellow friend, Carrie from Chicago Fashion Resource - LOVE HER.
Loving the backdrop of the picture.

Armadillo purse anyone

As the morning went by, it was time to say good bye to my new friends. As we were saying our farewells, Andrea says to me, "I feel like I've known you forever.."
